Jess co-owns and operates Kenna Construction with her partner, Mike. He had the construction skills, she had the business management and design skills, and they’ve been growing their business ever since early 2017. She believes that quality of work, innovation and clear communication in business should always be at the forefront. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. She got her real estate license as a natural progression to educate and assist her existing construction clients and also her realtor friend’s clients in the buying, selling and remodeling of their homes. The Florida Keys is one of the trickiest places to build in the US, with strict historic and hurricane influenced building codes and Jess strives to make this process as easy to understand as possible. Jess lives on the water in Key West, with her partner Mike, his 3 amazing teenagers and their Great Dane, Mazy. When she’s not working- she’s gardening, crafting, in the sunshine or traveling the globe any chance she gets. She is also a Senior Build Producer on HGTV’s most popular rated show; Rock the Block. She is a member of the National Association of REALTORS, member of the National Association of Women in Construction and the LEAD COORDINATOR for the Key West Chapter of Irreverent Warriors, fighting to be the leader in veteran owed non-profits bringing the military community together to create a heathy culture and end veteran suicide.

Megan McDowell, an Indiana native, graduated from Indiana University with a marketing degree and gained international experience in Beijing, China, working in luxury travel marketing and learning Mandarin Chinese. Her journey led her to Key West, Florida, where she fell in love with the island's charm and decided to transition from her corporate career to a career in real estate. Megan's unique blend of marketing expertise and community passion shines in her role. Additionally, she actively contributes to the Key West community through her involvement in organizations like Take Stock in Children, Key West Association of Realtors, Friends of the Key West Library, Anne McKee Artists Fund, and the Key West Rotary Club. In her free time, Megan indulges in reading, basking in the sun at the sandbar, and exploring Key West on her bicycle alongside her loyal companion, Chica.

LoRetta is an avid enthusiast of the Florida Keys, with a deep-rooted love for the sun and sea nurtured during her upbringing in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Her Texas real-estate roots run deep, having spent over two decades there, where she honed her skills in real estate sales and property management, overseeing multiple family units. Four years ago, LoRetta and her husband Jim made the leap to Little Torch Key, initially planning a short stay but captivated by the allure of the water and the endless adventures The Keys offer, they decided to make it their permanent home. Together, they embarked on a new venture, opening The Little Dipper, an ice cream shop where their French Bulldogs, Titan and Tully, reign as beloved mascots. Driven by her passion for real estate, LoRetta re-immersed herself in the profession, starting with property management at a local marina and ultimately obtaining her Florida Real Estate license. She now finds joy in sharing the paradise and vibrant lifestyle of The Keys with others. While a member of the Key West team, LoRetta's primary focus remains on assisting her neighbors and future neighbors in the Lower Keys, where her heart truly lies.

Casey is an entrepreneur, marketing consultant, Realtor and avid brunch/happy hour enthusiast. Casey is the ShineGroup's Chief Branding Officer and President of Shoveling Sunshine, our very own 501(c)(3), tax exempt non-profit. Casey's commitment to the local community is remarkable. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Key West Chamber of Commerce and holds the crucial role of Marketing Chair for the same organization. Casey is also an active member of the Key West Business Guild. He's the proud winner of the 2023 Miss Island Queen Pageant, where he helped raise over $55,000 for Samuel's House during a captivating 2-hour show. He's a member of the National Association of Realtors© and the Key West Association of Realtors. Casey is a licensee of Hasbro Gaming and was the brains behind the first official MONOPOLY® game with a complete Key West, Florida theme. He is currently the owner and operator of Key West Team Building, The Southernmost Scavenger Hunt, a founding member of ShineGroup, a founding member of Shoveling Sunshine, Inc. a non-profit 501(c)(3), and is the active Marketing and Events Director for Conch Republic Seafood Company.

In 2021, after more than a decade of experience building a leading Key West Real Estate & Vacation Rental company she followed her heart and sense of purpose… which now includes the Montessori school. Thinking her time in Real Estate was in the rear view mirror; Krystal, her long-time close friend (and her own Realtor for her first few personal home purchases!) launched the ShineGroup and Alex officially returned to Keys Real Estate taking the title of ShineGroup Investment Specialist. Alex offers her extensive investment and vacation rental knowledge to guide her Buyers and Sellers through their Key West real estate transactions with a proven formula for identifying exceptional investment opportunities in vacation rental, long term rental, or first-time homebuyer successes and crucial, long-time relationships with local vendors both in real estate and property management pay off for her clients no matter the circumstances. Alex is a self-proclaimed efficiency fanatic and cannot be party to a bad plan – which translates to concise and clear communications on behalf of her clients and smooth, pain-free transactions for all aspects she manages. Heather grew up in the Catskill Mountains in New York. She loves spending time in the great outdoors, but dislikes winter. In 2013, when the opportunity to move to Key West arose, she happily packed her things and left that cold weather behind. Key West instantly captured Heather’s heart and she cannot imagine calling anywhere else “home”. Claiming it was the best decision she ever made and the “key” to her happiness; Heather is passionate about helping others find their piece of paradise and the same bliss that she found in these beautiful islands.
