Celebrate Community, Connection, and the Key West Spirit

The holidays in Key West aren’t just about sunshine, twinkling lights, and island cheer they’re about community. Supporting local businesses keeps our island vibrant, creative, and uniquely “us.” From family-owned shops to beloved restaurants and talented local makers, these small businesses are the heartbeat of paradise.

At ShineGroup, we believe in giving back, uplifting our neighbors, and keeping our dollars right here in the community we love. This season, here are 12 local businesses to support whether you’re shopping for gifts, dining out, or simply wanting to spread a little island joy.

I live and breathe in my Kinos. Family owned and operated and handmade in Key West. Dress them up or dress them down they are a Key West wardrobe essential.

Located on the corner of Frances and Southard this shop has a little bit of everything from clothes to home goods, gifts and more!

Located in Bahama Village on the Petronia Street corridor this store just seems to scream my name every time I walk by. Both a surfer and hippie's delight I love that they feature and support local artists and small businesses.

Located in the stop by for my favorite hand poured candles... they are THE best.

An upscale, resale boutique located on Whitehead Street in Old Town. Kirby's features high end brands, personal syling, and most importantly... charcuterie & sangria

Have a special occasion or looking for a fun girls night? Book the closet for your own personal shopping experience with your favorites.

Located on Stock Island is one of my favorite artist collectives. Featuring 5 resident local artists and where you will find some of my favorite brands including: Whimsy Key West, Lucy Hawk Art, and Under The Leaf plant enthusiast.

Get your hair done with: Blown Away Hair Studio, Addison's Barber Parlor or Beards & Brews

9. Nails

Get your nails done at Nail Bar @ Duval Square

10. Massage

Enjoy a wellness massage with Ocean Wellness Pier House Resort

Every purchase you make locally helps a business owner pay their staff, restock their shelves, support their family, and reinvest right back into our island. It keeps our neighborhoods strong and our community thriving.

The ShineGroup approach has always been rooted in connection, hospitality, and heart. Supporting local isn’t just something we encourage it’s something we live.

Whether you pick up a locally made candle, grab brunch at your favorite café, or choose a handcrafted Key West treasure, your support makes a difference.

Share this list with a friend, visitor, or fellow local looking to make the holidays more meaningful. And if you need customized suggestions gift guides, neighborhoods with the best shopping, or small business shoutouts I’m always here to help.

Here’s to a holiday season filled with warmth, generosity, and island magic.
